 Goole Churches Together

 

Goole Churches Together exists to promote fellowship, understanding and co-operation between the different  churches in the area and united action in witness, outreach and  service to the community.

News and Events

Farewell Service for Rev Colin Emerson

The end of Methodist minister Colin Emerson's time in Goole will be marked with a special service at Central Church on Sunday 27th May at 6pm, preceeded by a farewell tea.  

Ten Days of Prayer

Once again Goole's churches will be praying for our community, the world and one another between Ascension Day (17th May) and Pentecost (27th May). Events include:
Thursday 17th May 7pm. Ascension Day joint communion service, hall at Trinity Church, Clifton Gardens, led by Rev Colin Emerson
Tuesday 22nd 10am. St Joseph's Pasture Road, prayer meeting
Wednesday 23rd 9.30am. New Beginnings Community Church, Mariners Street, prayer meeting.
Thursday 24th, prayers in the hospital chapel. Drop in any time during normal hospital open hours (not just visiting hours).
Friday 25th May. Prayers in green room in the hall at Trinity Church, Clifton Gardens. Come any time between 5pm and 9pm.
Sunday 27th May 6.30pm. Farewell service for Rev Colin Emerson, Central Church, North Street.

Christian Aid

Christian Aid Week runs from 13th to 19th May. There will be door to door collections on some streets in town and two special events:
Coffee morning at Five Rivers, 17th May 10am
Concert by Christ Church Singers, Central Church, 19th May 7pm.

Lent Group - The Lord’s Prayer: How Jesus trains us for an adventure with God.

Quiz Night

The Churches Together quiz night returned with a contest at Trinity under question setter Barbara Dargan. The winning team was a combined one from Trinity and St John's.
